Goodbye Stephanie!!

Last week, our auxiliary of conversation, Stephanie MacElroy, finished her work with our fifth and sixth graders. As you all know, the whole school was expecting her since October but some problems with her documents delayed her arrival. Finally, she was our Three Wise Men present for Christmas!

We have enjoyed ourselves enormously with our teacher from Colorado (U.S.A). She did not only teach us some cultural aspects of her country or helped us to improve our level of English but she also has planned wonderful and funny lessons for the pupils: she explained to us how Easter is celebrated in the United States; she introduced us to the wonderful plays of William Shakespeare (one of her favorite writers, by the way); we have learnt grammar by choosing the ingredients for a funny pizza or inventing the amusing story of a super hero…

Last Friday was a very moving day for the children who have been working with Stephanie during these last months. In the Meeting Room we thanked her for the labour she has carried out along the school year. A present, on behalf of the school, was given to her in order for Stephanie to have a fond memory of Jerez de los Caballeros.

It has been a pleasure and a privilege to work with you. Both students and teachers wish you all the best!!!

See you soon!!!
