As we begin a new year, let’s look to the last for lessons learned.
Older pupils started the year in Science talking about Weather and Climate. We all know the important of weather in our lives, how it can affect our daily lives in many ways.
Sixth graders studied what's the difference between Weather and Climate, what causes different kinds of weather, why weather forecast help us in many ways, they learned how to read weather maps in Internet to get information about future weather. They created a weather map of The United Kingdom, Portugal and Spain using weather symbols and then, wrote a forecast according to the map. They were weatherman/woman for a month.
Durante el primer trimestre nuestros alum@s de sexto de la sección bilingüe han estado sumergidos en Science en una unidad denominada "El tiempo y el clima". Ha sido un tema realmente motivador para ell@s porque han aprendido muchos conceptos, han pasado de dar un predicción básica que diariamente hacemos al inicio de cada clase a completar esa información de una manera detallada usando términos "profesionales" Han conseguido entender la diferencia entre estos dos conceptos, han apreciado la importancia de conocer la predicción meteorológica para facilitarnos nuestro día a día, han navegado en Internet para buscar y escribir sobre la predicción del tiempo en diferentes países de Europa...en definitiva se convirtieron durante unos meses en nuestros Meteorólog@s particulares.
